Florida has been getting an insane amount of rain recently. It is so bad, we have had major highways shut down. Cities have closed and residents have been stranded. I wanted to share some of these photos I found of both the damage and some just stupid drivers! Up top is the main image going around our area.
Here we see water going all the way to this BMWs rear bumper.
This Ambulance became stranded as well.
This is the map of the downtown area. All the red was for road closures.
Water completely fried all of the electrical systems in this car.
This is an exit off of I-275; a major highway.
The water is halfway up the doors!
People were bringing out boats and canoes to try and get supplies and help.
Sinkholes also became a major concern.
Basically, we had what is known as a Mesoscale Convective System which apparently is like a large collection of thunderstorms.
I live about 45 minutes South of all this flooding and even by me, roads have been closed, parking lots flooded...but nothing like this.
Does anyone outside of our area really even know about this? That’s the main reason I’m posting.
All pictures are from a variety of sources including the local news, Google, and individual’s Facebook pages.

Aren’t you guys about 2” ASL as it is? That’s really gonna suck when all the icebergs start melting.

We haven’t had much flooding down here yet, but it’s been raining like crazy for about a week, all of the retention ponds are full, the canals are all full, and I’ve never seen so many mosquitoes before in my life. I’m curious about how inland the system’s dropping water. If they have to start dumping water from Okeechobee, it’s going to be really bad over here. I’m towards the bottom of the blue blanked area.

Don’t know about that. A good many bro trucks down here are actually lowered and try to be sports cars...you know, without the things that make a sports car good.

Well, since the icebergs are floating they won’t raise sea level when they melt.
